Exclude your own team from analytics
One click on your domain and the analytics stop congratulating you for watching your own work. Covers every teammate, past and future.
Internal traffic is the first lie every analytics tool tells a new workspace: the QC pass, the "does the link work" click, the edit bay rewatching its own cut. HoldFast makes "internal" a property of your domain, so you fix it once.
Mark the domain
Open any of your own viewers in the Data Explorer and choose Mark all @yourdomain internal. That one action:
- flags every existing viewer whose email or company matches the domain,
- flags every future viewer on it automatically, including teammates who have not joined yet and the same person showing up on a new laptop,
- and removes them all from scores, alerts, and the intelligence feed at once.
Mark the domain, not the person: one click covers the whole team, including people who have not joined yet.
What internal means, precisely
Labeled, not erased. Internal views stay in the raw event stream (useful when you are checking whether a link works), and are kept out of everything evaluative: no engagement scores, no hot-viewer alerts, no feed stories about your own editor. Client-facing numbers become client-only numbers.
The habit for agencies
Mark your own domain on day one, and a client's domain too if their team reviews inside your links routinely and you do not want their QC counted as buying intent. Each domain is one click, and the question-form version of this page (Why am I my own hottest viewer?) stops needing to exist for your workspace.
Questions
Are internal views deleted?
No, labeled. They stay in the raw event tables for debugging, and are excluded from scores, alerts, and the intelligence feed, everywhere judgment happens.
What about a teammate on a personal Gmail?
Domain marking catches everyone on your company domain. A personal-address teammate can be marked internal individually from their viewer detail page.
