Rename an asset
Rename once from the review page or the project grid, and reels, links, search, and insights pick it up with nothing else to do. A few written records keep the old name, named here.
An asset's title is the name that follows it everywhere: the tile in the project, the review page, search results, reels, and the stories Insights tells about your library. When that name is wrong, you fix it in one of three places, and all three change the same thing.
Rename from the asset review page
On the review page the title itself is the control: hover shows the dashed underline, a click turns it into an input.
Open the asset. The title at the top of the page carries a dashed underline, and hovering it shows "Click to rename". Click it and it becomes a text input. Type the new name and press Enter, or click anywhere else to commit it. The page header updates as soon as you do.
Rename from the project grid
Hover the asset's tile in the project view and open its ... menu. Choose Rename and the name turns into an inline input for editing in place, without leaving the grid. The same menu in list view rows works the same way.
Rename on mobile
On a phone, the ... menu opens a bottom sheet. The Rename action is in there; tap it and type the new name.
There is no bulk rename. Selecting several assets offers Move and Delete only, so each wrong title is corrected individually.
Where the new name appears on its own
Reels already built, review links already sent, search, Insights and analytics screens, and project lists all read the asset name live. Change it once and every one of those surfaces shows the new name with nothing else to save. Search and the Asset View match the new name the moment it is saved.
Where the old name stays
A few records were written at the time the name was, and they keep the old name until they are rewritten:
- Notifications that were already sent keep the name that was written into them.
- Insights narrative cards that were already generated keep the old name; they refresh when new view activity regenerates them.
- An audience test that was already set up with the asset keeps the variant label it was created with.
Asset title and version label are two different names
Renaming the asset changes the asset name only. It does not rename the version labels. Each file you upload onto the asset becomes a version, and each version carries its own label that you rename separately in Version History. The two never overwrite each other: the asset name identifies the asset in your library, a version label identifies one specific file behind it.

Questions
Does renaming an asset change links I already sent?
No. A review link or reel points at the asset, not at its name, so it keeps working and shows the new name the next time it opens.
Is renaming the asset the same as renaming a version?
No. The asset name and a version label are two separate fields. Renaming the asset does not touch any version label, and renaming a version label does not change the asset name.
Why does the old name still show somewhere?
Notifications, Insights cards, and audience test variants from before the rename keep the name they were written with. Reels, links, search, and project lists pick up the new name on their own.
