How to see who watched your video
HoldFast resolves the anonymous views on your shared links into named companies and people, each carrying an engagement score.
Updated
You sent the cut on Tuesday. By Friday you're staring at "47 views" wondering which of them was the client, which was the client's boss, and which was you checking it played. HoldFast answers the question the view counter can't: it resolves the anonymous traffic on your shared links into named companies (and, when someone arrives through an email gate or a personalized link, named people), each carrying an engagement score you can actually act on. Here's how to read it.
Why "views" isn't enough
A view count is a tally with the meaning stripped out. It can't tell you that three of those views came from the same agency, that one person watched twice, or that the account went quiet for a week and just came back. Those are the things that change what you do next, and they're exactly what HoldFast reconstructs.
What HoldFast resolves, and how
- Company: HoldFast maps the network a view came from to an organization using a cross-workspace company graph (with several fallbacks), so an anonymous visit becomes "someone at Coastal Spirits."
- Person: when a viewer arrives through an email gate or a personalized link, the view is attributed to that named individual. No guesswork.
The feed writes the story: who came back, from which company.
Open Insights and read the feed
Insights doesn't hand you a raw dashboard to interpret. It writes the story. The intelligence feed surfaces narratives like *a returning viewer* (someone back after a quiet stretch, the strongest buying signal), *circulation* (two people from the same company watching), and *going cold* (a once-warm viewer slipping). Each card names the company and suggests a next step.
Read a viewer card
A viewer card: the heat score, plus sessions and when they were last here.
A viewer card gives you the three things that matter at a glance: the company, an engagement label (Cold / Warm / Hot / On Fire, see Engagement scoring explained), and when they were last seen. Click through for the full history: what they watched, how far, how many times.
Identified vs anonymous, and honest attribution
Not every view can be named, and HoldFast won't pretend otherwise. Where the company is confirmed (a matching contact, a CRM record, a verified source) it's stated plainly; where it's inferred it reads as *"Possible Coastal Spirits visitor,"* not a false certainty. You can confirm a company or flag a bot yourself in the Data Explorer, which holds every viewer and event behind the feed.
The Data Explorer: every viewer, identified or anonymous.
A note on privacy
This is engagement analytics on links you chose to share. HoldFast ships consent tooling (a banner and preference center on public links) and honours Global Privacy Control; you remain responsible for giving your viewers any notice their region requires. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics.
