Playback quality: 1080p free, up to 4K on paid plans
No formats to choose and nothing to babysit: each viewer gets the best picture their connection carries, up to your plan ceiling.
You upload one file. Every viewer gets the right stream for their connection, phone on hotel wifi to color-accurate display on fiber, without you choosing formats or babysitting anything.
The plan ceilings
Playback reaches up to 1080p on Free and up to 4K on Pro and Team. The ceiling applies to playback, not upload: send the master you have, and if you move up a plan later, the sharper playback lights up for assets you already uploaded.
How the player behaves
It adapts. Each viewer's player picks the best quality their connection sustains moment to moment, stepping up on strong connections and holding steady instead of buffering on weak ones. Viewers who want to pin a specific quality can pick one from the player's quality menu.
What this means for a review
The cut you send for review looks right on whatever your client opens it with, and nobody on either end manages a setting. If a specific viewer reports playback trouble, that is almost always their network, not the file: start at Video won't play for a client.
Questions
Why does my video start slightly soft and then sharpen?
The player starts fast and steps up as it learns the viewer’s connection. On a healthy connection it reaches the best available quality within moments.
Does the Free plan limit what I can upload, or what plays?
What plays. Upload the master you have; playback tops out at 1080p on Free and reaches 4K on Pro and Team.
