Get pinged when someone opens your deck
Turn on Live view alerts and get a notification the moment a verified contact opens the presentation. By design, a guess never pages you.
Turn on Live view alerts in the presentation's Settings and HoldFast notifies you the moment a known contact opens the deck: an in-app notification, plus a message in your Slack or Mattermost channel if one is connected. Someone reading your proposal right now is the best follow-up moment you will ever get, and this is the switch that catches it.
Live view alerts is a per-deck switch in Settings.
The bar is deliberately high
A live alert interrupts you in real time, so it only fires for a viewer HoldFast can actually verify: someone who came through the deck's email gate, opened their personalized link, or matched a contact from your CRM. A network guess ("possibly someone at Acme") never pages you; that activity stays in the Insights feed, worded as the inference it is. Your own team's views don't fire alerts either, and each viewer triggers at most one alert per 30 minutes on a deck, so a refresh or a quick return doesn't ping you twice.
Make viewers alert-eligible
Since alerts require a verified person, set the deck up so viewers identify themselves:
- Turn on Require email to view (lead gate) so every viewer leaves an address.
- Or skip the gate for known recipients: under Personalized tracking links in Settings, enter their email and click Create & copy link. Every view through that link is attributed to them, nothing asked of the viewer.
What the alert says
The alert names the person and the deck ("is viewing right now") and links into Insights. Messages sent to Slack or Mattermost carry the viewer's name and company, never their raw email address. Questions
A company I care about read the deck and I got no alert. Why?
That viewer was identified by network signal only, which makes a good hint and a bad pager. Company-level activity shows in the Insights feed, worded as the inference it is; live alerts fire only for verified contacts so a false match never interrupts you.
