Set a custom thumbnail
Scrub to the frame that sells the clip, click once, and that frame fronts the asset everywhere it appears.
Every video gets a thumbnail automatically, and the automatic pick is rarely the frame you would have chosen. One control fixes it.
The move
Open the asset, scrub the player to the frame that represents the clip, and click Set Thumbnail. The current frame becomes the asset's poster image.
Where it lands
The tile in your project view, the poster a reviewer sees before pressing play on a review link, the card in a reel: one frame fronts the clip everywhere.
Choosing the frame
A face mid-expression, a composition that reads at postage-stamp size, the money shot rather than the slate. It is one click to change, so change it whenever the automatic pick undersells the work. On a page full of tiles, the thumbnails are the first impression a client gets of the whole project.
Questions
Where does the thumbnail show up?
Everywhere the clip is fronted by a still: the tile in your project, the poster before play on review links and reels, and previews when a link is shared.
