Turn a review link off
Flip the Active toggle and the link stops serving. Flip it back on and the same URL works again, with nothing lost.
Open the link's settings, flip the Active toggle off, and click Save Changes. The link stops serving on the spot: no page, no playback, no downloads. Flip it back on and the same URL works again.
Flip Active off
From Review Links, open the link. The Active toggle sits at the top of the settings panel, right under the Sharing URL. Turn it off and save. Unlike an expiry date, which is a scheduled cutoff, this is the immediate switch: use it when a client relationship changes, a cut leaks somewhere it should not have, or a round of review is done and you want the door closed today.
The Active toggle sits at the top of the link settings, right under the Sharing URL.
What a visitor sees
A switched-off link shows a clean page that says This review link is no longer active, names you as the sender, and offers a pre-filled email asking you for an updated link. Nobody lands on a broken player, and nothing behind the link is reachable.
Turn it back on
Nothing is lost while a link is off. The assets, the comments, and the approvals all live in your project, so re-enabling Active restores the exact same page at the exact same address. Off and on is a pause, not a reset.
Delete it for good
For a permanent goodbye, scroll to the bottom of the settings panel and click Delete Review Link. You will be asked to confirm, and it cannot be undone: the page and its address are gone, and visitors see Review link not found. Your assets stay in your project untouched, but the review page is also where that link's feedback is read, so if the comments might still matter, reach for the Active toggle instead.
Next steps
- Prefer a scheduled cutoff: Set a review link to expire.
- Keep it live but locked: Password-protect a review link.
Questions
Does turning a link off delete the feedback?
No. Switching a link off touches nothing behind it: turn it back on and every comment and approval is exactly where it was. Deleting is different, since the review page is where that feedback is read, so stick to the Active toggle when the notes might still matter.
